Welcome to the Ohio High School Golf Coaches Association web site.

The purpose of this web site is to provided needed information to coaches, players, and fans of Ohio high school golf. You may select from the drop pages provided to assist you in finding the information that you may need.

For the coaches, we have a page that will provide you with the latest minutes from the Association's Board meetings, a listing of all State and District Association officers, and news on the State clinic held each year in May.

On Jan 17, at the Board of Controls meeting, the Board unanimously approved two divisions for girls' golf beginning with the upcoming 2008 fall season. This is the second year of the two year cycle, so as is the case with all sports, recalculation will occur again following the completion of the 2008-09 school year.

There were 262 girls' golf teams in the 2007-08 season.

The numbers for divisions for the upcoming season will be as follows:
Division l - 347 girls and higher
Division ll - 346 girls and lower

Anyone wishing to check enrollment figures for determining which division
they or other schools will be in may log onto the OHSAA website to find out.

We have also provided you with a link page to assist your connections to such sites as O.H.S.A.A., U.S.G.A., rules interpretations, and District Athletic Boards. A new addition is a brochure describing Coach's Caddie, a scoring software program written by Ohio HS golf coaches, for use by golf coaches to aid in keeping statistics and scoring high school golf matches.

We hope that this site in some way can assist you. If you have a suggestion or request, please address them to your District representative on the Executive Board.
